Your information, kept straightforward.
This notice explains what Tamesk collects through this website, why we use it, who we use to process it, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible for your data?
Tamesk is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Tamesk is currently operated as the Tamesk project/trading name in Norwich, United Kingdom. You can contact us about privacy using the form at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
Depending on how you use Tamesk, we may collect your name, email address, business name, postcode or service area, the job or service you describe, timing or availability information, and your answers as you move through the Tamesk booking or supplier journey.
We do not collect card or bank details through this website at this stage.
Why we use it
- to understand and respond to the job, service or supplier request you submit;
- to contact you about whether Tamesk can take that request forward;
- to operate, protect and improve the Tamesk service;
- to understand demand for different Tamesk services and areas; and
- to meet legal, security and fraud-prevention requirements where necessary.
For enquiry and booking information, our lawful basis will generally be taking steps at your request before a potential contract and, where relevant, our legitimate interests in operating and improving Tamesk. Where we rely on consent — including optional Google Analytics — you can withdraw that consent.
Website analytics
Google Analytics is switched off for a new visitor unless they choose Allow analytics. If allowed, we use it to understand aggregate website behaviour such as page visits, chosen service categories and progress through the booking funnel. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or other directly identifying enquiry details to Google Analytics.
Our current analytics setup is intended to retain user-level and event-level analytics data for no longer than 14 months.
Who processes or receives information?
We use service providers to operate the website. These currently include Netlify for website hosting and form submissions, and Google Analytics for optional website analytics after consent.
If you ask Tamesk to take a job forward, relevant job information may also need to be shared with prospective service providers or suppliers so that the request can be assessed or fulfilled. We aim to share only what is reasonably necessary for that purpose.
International processing
Some technology providers used by Tamesk are international businesses and may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards and contractual arrangements provided by those services and applicable data-protection law.
How long we keep enquiry information
Where an enquiry does not become an ongoing customer or supplier relationship, we intend to retain the identifiable enquiry for up to 12 months, then delete or anonymise it unless we need to keep it longer for a legal, security or dispute-related reason. If a business relationship develops, appropriate business records may be retained for longer where necessary.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your information is handled.
